Mahasell is an e-commerce platform operated by Mahaone Technology Ltd, enabling sellers in Nigeria to list products, receive orders, and manage deliveries. Our website is mahasell.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you:

Create an account (name, email address, phone number)
Set up a store (business name, bank account details for payouts)
Place or receive an order (delivery address, payment method)
Connect social accounts (Facebook, Instagram — for ad attribution only)

We also collect limited technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and device type — used solely to operate and improve the platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To process orders and coordinate deliveries
To send order notifications via WhatsApp, email, or Telegram
To process seller payouts via Paystack
To attribute sales to ad campaigns you connect (with your permission)
To improve platform features and troubleshoot issues

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Facebook / Meta Data

If you connect your Facebook account or ad account to Mahasell for ad attribution:

We access only the permissions you explicitly grant
We use this data solely to show you which ads drove which orders
We do not store your Facebook credentials
You can disconnect your Facebook account at any time from your dashboard settings
To request deletion of your Facebook-connected data, visit our Data Deletion page

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

Paystack — to process payments and payouts
Cloudinary — to store product images
Brevo — to send transactional emails
Meta / Facebook — when you connect your ad account
Delivery agents — name, phone, and delivery address for order fulfilment

All third-party services are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment processing is handled entirely by Paystack — we do not store card details.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Mahasell after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
